Summary
La Llorona is a specter from legend, wailing in the night for her lost children and desperate to claim living children to replace her own. In the 1970s, a social worker deals with a woman charged with child endangerment who is actually a victim of La Llorona, and gets caught up in the supernatural realm herself. Now the only hope for her own children may be a priest who lives on the fringes of where fear and faith collide
