- "CHARLIE CHAN (Warner Oland) and his eldest son Lee (Keye Luke) are in China and a number of confusing and mysterious events follow a murder at a banquet honoring the famous detective. CHAN is eventually kidnapped by the head of an opium ring, and his son is captured shortly thereafter. Once they escape they contact the local authorities, and CHAN works his way through an intricate plot to expose the smugglers."--Container
