- At a masked ball, the lovelorn Romeo spies the beautiful Juliet and the two soon fall madly in love, only to feel despair once their true identities are revealed. Matters worsen when Romeo slays Tybalt, a nephew of the Capulets, and is banished from the city. Only the intervention of a loyal friar and nurse can right the course of true love, but a rush to judgment spells the end of the young lovers' earthly union
